Samsung Galaxy S3 Confirmed With Gorilla Glass 2

Not only is the Samsung Galaxy S III sporting some of the most advanced features that you’ll look for in a smartphone, but perhaps more important to know is that the phone’s display is using the next generation Gorilla Glass. This was confirmed by Corning itself by way of an official announcement. According to Corning:

New Corning Gorilla Glass 2 is an ideal solution for Samsung’s high-quality smartphones, enabling a superior touch experience and a lightweight and slim design, with the damage and scratch resistance consumers have come to expect.

Gorilla Glass 2 which was launched earlier during CES 2012 is said to have maintained the same endurance standard as the original Corning Glass with reduction in thickness by almost 20%. So, you can be sure that the display of the Samsung Galaxy S III is safe from scratches and bumps.
