Now Available on Pre-order, Amazon Galaxy Note 10.1

Those of you looking to buy a brand new Android tablet should know that Amazon is currently taking pre-orders for one of Samsung’s 2012 tablets, the Galaxy Note 10.1. The device, announced back at MWC 2012, costs $549.99 and it will be shipped in 3 to 5 weeks, so there’s plenty of waiting in store for you. For that amount of cash you’ll be getting the 32GB Galaxy Note 10.1 Wi-Fi version.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 is the first device from Samsung’s second 10.1-inch tablet family after the Galaxy Tab 10.1 line – with the later being comprised of two tablet generations: Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1). Just like its smaller brethren (the Galaxy Note phablet) the Note 10.1 comes with S-Pen support, which will let imaginative Note buyers enjoy lots of creativity-related perks and take advantage of various features including hand-writing, note-taking and drawing support.

In case you’re not sure which Samsung 10.1-inch tablet to buy, you’ll have to know that the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is currently in stock with Amazon, with pricing starting at $399 for the 16GB Wi-Fi version. The Galaxy Note 10.1 can be considered the higher-end model, as it is slightly better than the new Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) when it comes to certain specs and features.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 measures 10.11 x 6.9 x 0.35 inches and weighs 1.29 pounds. The tablet comes with a 10.1-inch Super PLS touchscreen display with 1280 x 800 resolution, 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos processor, 1GB or RAM, 16/32/64GB of storage, microSD support for up to 32GB memory upgrade, 3-megapixel rear camera with single-LED flash and auto focus, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 3G and HSPA+ support (the cellular version), GPS, 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, micro USB connectivity, 7000mAh battery, S Pen stylus support and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with TouchWiz 4.0 on top.
