Blogging used to be for a small group of people–it was mostly limited to
small group of people with netbooks who met up occasionally at cafe’s
and book stores to avail of the limited Wi-Fi service so they could post
their thoughts away. Of course as Wi-Fi became widespread, more people
got into blogging. WordPress has become the number one resource for
bloggers all over the world. As a matter of fact several leading
business companies utilize WordPress for their business website instead
of creating a website from scratch.Earlier this year WordPress was released for Android phones, making it all the more accessible. Now you can find people blogging just about anywhere and it no longer has to be restricted solely to their laptops. When WordPress for Android was first released it was pretty strong right from the start but the latest update that has just hit public beta has even more goodies than you could have expected.
As a matter of fact the people behind WordPress announced that this new update carries totally radical stuff. Instead of leading people down the rabbit hole to chase for the meaning of that statement, they went on ahead to post an official list of the major updates that V2.1 includes right from the get go.
Here is the full list of additional changes and updates that V2.1 offers to the avid mobile WordPress blogger:
- An autosave timer that will save your post every sixty seconds
- You now have the option to edit comments even on your phone
- The ability set the width dimensions for linked images
- A brand new WordPress reader. The changes here now allow you to browse through all the posts much faster as well as giving you the aforementioned ability to post comments on the go. The best thing about the new reader is in integration with other Android apps that allows you to share a blog instantly
- User Interfaces changes. The most notable change is that the delete button has been allocated to a different section of the screen so that people won’t accidentally delete their posts
- Some translation updates and stronger reliability
